The PVIWC Board of Directors opposes the PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Statute) legislation [federal legislation "to amend the Animal Welfare Act to strengthen the ability of the Secretary of Agriculture to regulate the pet industry," see S 1139, HR 2669].
