The Potomac Valley Irish Wolfhound Club (PVIWC) is a regional breed club dedicated to the health and welfare of the Irish Wolfhound. Our members live primarily in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. PVIWC is a very active club which hosts an annual AKC specialty and obedience show in the Spring, participates in educational activities and parades, rescues local wolfhounds in need of new homes, and sponsors a Fun Day in the Fall, to name a few of our regular functions.
*****IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT WOLFHOUND RESCUE*****
On Friday, 9-19-14 Robin Smith, one of the TX rescue volunteers, was allowed the first visit to view first hand some of the rescue hounds. Today, 9-20-14…Mel Mercer, Ann Sury and her husband Dick Morrison along with Robin and her husband were all allowed to not only visit but put their hands on most all of the rescue hounds. We are on our way to receiving exact dates from the SPCA when pick up of these hounds can begin….maybe in another week. Thank you all for your offers of help, for your patience and for donations received by the IWF.
