PVIWC Meetings

The PVIWC holds meetings monthly at the homes of various members in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. The regular meeting is either not held in months where the club has a major activity planned, such as the Specialty Show, or is held in conjunction with the event such as the DC parade or Fun Match when there is significant business to conduct which cannot be postponed for another month. Please see our schedule for this year's planned club meetings and events.

Club Meeting and Event Schedule

Club meetings usually begin with the Board meeting at 12:30, followed by the General meeting at 2:30. Event times vary; please click on the event link to find more information.

The currently planned 2009 club meetings and events are:

January 11th - regular meeting at the Jewelers'

February 8th - regular meeting at the Van Nests'

March 7th - Alexandria, VA St. Patrick's Day parade

March 14th - Gaithersburg, MD St. Patrick's day parade

March 14th - Manassas, VA St. Patrick's day parade

March 15th - DC St. Patrick's Day parade

March 15th - Baltimore St. Patrick's Day parade

March 29-30 - PVIWC Specialty Show in Annapolis

May 10th - regular meeting at Carole Silverthorne's

June 14th - regular meeting at the dal Cais'

July 12th - regular meeting at the Harrises'

August 9th - Board meeting at Christina Kallay's

September 20th - Fun Match at the Bay Ridge Marina in Annapolis

October 10th - Anne Arundel County Scottish festival

October 11th - regular meeting at Bob Brehl's

November 6-8th - Maryland Irish Festival in Timonium, MD

November 8th - regular meeting at the Morfits'

December 13th - holiday party at the Van de Kamps'

All meetings include refreshments after business is finished, so please bring a potluck dish to share. If there is a "theme" for the food (e.g., Mexican), the meeting notice will include that information. You should probably contact the host or hostess of the meeting to let them know what you're bringing, but we never turn down food.
