The Potomac Valley Irish Wolfhound Club (PVIWC) is a regional breed club dedicated to the health and welfare of the Irish Wolfhound. Our members live primarily in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. PVIWC is a very active club which hosts an annual AKC specialty and obedience show in the Spring, participates in educational activities and parades, rescues local wolfhounds in need of new homes, and sponsors a Fun Day in the Fall, to name a few of our regular functions.

*** 09/09/2018 *** Important message below. PVIWC FUN DAY and HEART TESTING CANCELLED

Due to the increasingly alarming predictions of serious inclement weather, PVIWC is highly disappointed to have to cancel this year’s Fun Day and Heart Testing.

We must put the safety of our members, friends, and hounds first and we don’t want anyone driving in hazardous weather.

Aside from the travel, the threat of the rain associated with a hurricane, on top of the heavy rain over the last several weeks, would make the grounds dangerously slick and muddy.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.
